Beauty Tips For Beginners and Professional Makeup Artists Alike

No matter what your skills are when it comes to skin care and make up application, it never hurts to get a few beauty tips. Chances are there are things you didn't know that will help you look better and feel better about your appearance. Below you'll find a few tips to help you out with some of the top beauty concerns for women.

Lighting is a very important issue when it comes to make up. If you don't use the correct lighting, you can end up with very bad results. When it comes to lighting, there really is such a thing as too much. Most people think that it's only too little lighting that can affect your look. When you have too much lighting, you tend to go too light with make up while the reverse is true with poor lighting.

One of the biggest beauty concerns that women have, regardless of age, is blemishes. Blemishes may appear to a woman much worse than others who see her on a regular basis. It's not uncommon for women to be aware of things that no one else even notices. Sometimes women end up over doing it when it comes to concealing blemishes.

You can easily spot these ladies, they are the ones who have replaced a big red or discolored spot on their face with too much cover up and it is very obvious. The best way to conceal blemishes is to start with a liquid concealer. Dab a small portion on your finger tip and lightly dab it on the blemish. Allow this to dry and take a small dab of your liquid foundation and do the same thing. The idea is to lightly erase its appearance, so don't put too much on. Finish up with your favorite pressed powder and you won't know it was ever there!

It's a good idea to get make up that compliments your natural tones. If you use a concealer, foundation or powder that is darker than your natural coloring, you can end up looking fake. There's nothing worse than seeing a woman with a dark line around her chin and sides of her face because her make up is too dark. If you can't find a shade that is completely perfect, go a shade lighter. This can be minimized later with the use of a blush or bronzing agent. You can always add up a shade but once you've gotten things too dark, you can't go back.

When red, irritated splotches cover your face, you feel like hiding away so no one can see you. A very easy way to get rid of or at least minimize the appearance of red spots is no further than your medicine cabinet. Get a Q tip swab and apply a few drops of anti red eye drops to it. Next lightly dab the drops onto the areas that you are noticing redness in. When you do this before bed, you'll wake up the next morning with lessened or no visible redness.

Do you have tiny lips and want the full look that you see on models and actresses everywhere? This is easy to achieve without the use of injections or powerful pepper concoctions. You'll want to find a lipstick that is a shade darker than your natural lip color and then a lip liner that is slightly darker than the lipstick. Carefully trace just on the outside of your normal lip line with the lip liner. Apply your lipstick and then reapply the lip liner. This will give the appearance of larger lips.

You'll be rid of your worst beauty worries before you know it when you follow these easy steps. Whenever you're in doubt with a make up or beauty question, you can always jump on line for the latest and greatest tips to looking great.

If you want to learn new beauty tips, all you need to do is look. Instead of wondering if your beauty regime is up to par, do a little research and you'll find out if there are new ideas out there that you haven't tried yet. After all, trying new techniques can help you perfect your beauty routine.

Tips For First-Time Hair Coloring

Everyone likes a change sometimes. We watch our favorite TV show or we run into an old friend and suddenly are dying for a different style or look. Hair color is one of the easiest ways to get a dramatic change, but most of us prefer a good change, one that prompts people to say, "Ooh!" instead of "Eek!" Here are some tips for making sure that your color change is fabulous and not freaky.

  • First, if you're coloring for the first time, it's a good idea to stick with something close to your natural hair color until you see whether it's going to work for you. Lighten up your look or go for something richer, but don't go from black to blond your first time out. You might regret it when your roots start growing out.
  • Try a wash out formula or semi-permanent color the first time. This way, the color fades naturally instead of needing root upkeep forever. Once you decide you like it, you can try something more permanent if you want - or you can continue to let it wash out and try something different.
  • If you decide to do highlights on your own, don't do it completely on your own. Ask a friend to help you so that you have an extra set of eyes to make sure you're getting your highlights the way you want to - especially since mirrors can be confusing and deceiving.
  • Follow the instructions on the box exactly, including the part where it tells you to test a small area first. Make sure you aren't allergic to the dye and that your hair reacts to it the way you expect. impatience will get you a bad job more often than anything else.
  • It may seem logical to pin up your hair, but leaving it down will ensure a more even look. Pinning it can cause color to gather in spots and give you darker (or lighter) spots.
  • Hair color can sometimes run onto the skin and dye it. The best way to avoid this is to add a thin layer of petroleum jelly around your hairline (and ears - trust me, you don't want dyed ears). This help to keep your color from running onto your skin and giving you weeks of discoloration.
  • Wait two days after shampooing your hair to dye it. The natural oils in your hair will protect your hair from the chemicals in the dye, and the color will just stick better.
  • Going from dark to blond is hard, and probably best left to a professional. You don't want to end up with a brassy look when you were going to golden.

Beauty Treatment in a Juicer

Beauty, they say, is in the eye of the beholder. Unfortunately, it is also all too susceptible to being killed off in early life by poor lifestyle choices which include late nights; too much alcohol; smoking; city smog and a whole list of unpleasant elements that attack our skin quality, make us gain weight and generally leave us looking worn out and decidedly frayed around the edges.

The fact is that most of us are not prepared to give up absolutely all the fun stuff like drinking rather too many glasses of wine, eating copious amounts of curry with friends on a Saturday night and generally whooping it up now and then. However, provided we do not make a habit of it, there is no reason why the occasional fling should destroy our looks and turn us into Godzilla before we are thirty.

A great way to stop the army of time marching across our faces is to stick to a healthy eating plan and combine it with a sensible exercise routine. The damage caused by the occasional late night and a decent social life can be limited by taking regular exercise, most beneficially in the early morning and followed by a healthy breakfast smoothie. Fresh fruits and vegetables, blended with some delicious ingredients to make it taste lovely and some vitamins and supplements to guarantee prolonged energy right through to lunch hour can transform the average sedentary couch potato into a powerhouse of fitness.

Juicing is becoming even more fashionable every year. Hardly surprising when you consider how many vitamins and nutrients might be packed into one glass, making it easy to prepare, simple to monitor and control what is being consumed and offering an unlimited menu of flavors and textures, not only to enjoy those one likes, but to disguise those one does not like that are nonetheless beneficial, making them not only palatable but enjoyable: a great way to camouflage less popular foods like spinach, carrots and butter beans.

Juicing recipes are available that target certain key areas of the body. If you have a tendency to suffer from low key infections or acne or indigestion, there are recipes on the market that will help to remedy these problems and in some cases, eliminate them completely. The real advantage is that, unlike experimentation with chemicals or prescription drugs, juicing is a natural treatment and benefits not only internal health but external appearance: a beauty treatment in a juicer.

As you open your refrigerator tomorrow morning and wonder whether to tuck into a stack of pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup or fry two eggs and wash them down with a carton of processed orange juice, ask yourself whether you are going to be wearing the after effects on your face by the end of the week...!

The secret of having beautiful skin, shiny hair and fingernails that do not split is not found on the counters of proprietary cosmetic manufacturers: it is found in your kitchen!

How to Fix Saggy, Drooping Eyelids - Ptosis

Ptosis, or hooded drooping eyelids are sometimes present at birth, sometimes acquired later in life. There are various causes:

  • MYOGENIC ptosis refers to saggy eyelids caused by muscular malfunction
  • NEUROGENIC ptosis means the nerve supply to the muscle is not complete
  • MECHANICAL ptosis happens when the weight of the eyelid is too heavy
  • INVOLUTIONAL ptosis occurs after the muscular connections weaken

No matter the name, the causes, the seriousness of the drooping - we believe you can benefit from a little known therapy using de-ionized acidic water. It's actually "beauty water" (pH 5.5 on the acidic side of the scale).

Beauty water is an excellent toner! De-ionized 5.5pH water applied externally has great medical benefits and extremely noticeable toning effects. It is not reverse osmosis water. It is one of the streams of water that comes through an ionizing machine, which is connected to your tap.

Imagine the stress you can avoid if your eyelids will respond to acidic beauty water instead of the cosmetic surgeon's knife! See yourself with ever-lifting eyelids instead of ugly stitches curving over your eyes... This is a serious matter.

You will simply spray Beauty Water over your eyes and eyelids when you wake every morning... and as often as you want to during the day and evening. While you're at it, why not tone your whole face and neck, arms and hands? You can even bathe in Beauty Water and watch your skin hydrate, smooth out, and become beautifully spot-free.

A little lesson about ionized and de-ionized water is in order here.

Ionized water has not been available to the average householder very long. It was introduced into the United States from Japan in 2003, just to the Japanese community. By 2006, it had crossed the cultural "barrier" and word-of-mouth established it firmly on American soil. Since 2006, the common American has been able to purchase ionizing equipment for the kitchen NOT for $120,000.00 or more - imported from Japan (industrial sized models); but has been able to purchase the home-sized machines for $3980.00 from the corporate site in Torrance, CA.

You may think this pricey and I did too when I first heard of ionized alkaline water. But let's consider the latest technology and you'll come to see as I did, a water ionizer is worth its weight in gold. The "engine" inside is a set of 7 electrolysis plates (each 7"x5" solid titanium) dipped individually twice in MEDICAL GRADE liquid white gold - platinum. Just recently platinum was being sold for $2850.00/ounce! The titanium and platium are absolutely necessary for electrolysis.

I guarantee you that in coming years, YOUR ionizer will increase in value. Am I saying you can sell your machine for a profit years from now? No, I'm saying your new best friend will be so important to your outward beauty and overall health and even the health of all your family members, that you will never sell it - not even for $50,000 or $100,000.

How to Use Hair Gel

Hair gel is one of the trickiest hair products to use effectively. While it can really add definition to a hair style, it can also look stiff and unnatural if it isn't used with a certain amount of finesse. It makes sense - the purpose of gel is to make hair stiff so that it will stay in place - but it should still look natural.

Gel can work with every kind of hair style, but it shouldn't be used the same way with each. Here's a quick overview of ways that gel can be effective:

  • In wet or dry hair, gel can make quick spikes.
  • Small amounts of gel can give updos or braids a smoother look and hold frizz in place.
  • A little gel in the roots can add volume to a hair style (we'll come back to this).
  • A little gel scrunched into natural curls can add definition.

Make sure that when you buy your styling gel, you consider your hair type. Most gels are made for specific types - short, curly, fine, etc. You should also consider the look you want to achieve with your gel. Some gels can give a nice light hold when used with a diffuser and hair dryer, while others are made for a stiffer hold, as with men's gel.

Once you've got a gel you can use, there are a few guidelines that will help to make everything work more effectively. First, don't put a lot of gel on on the ends of your hair. This weighs your hair down and may counteract any body you're getting from the gel. Avoid applying gel to any one area of the hair - this doesn't make the gel hold better, it just makes your hair look clumpy and globby. Gel typically works better for fine or medium hair. Very thick hair can be styled with gel, but it's more difficult. Make sure to find gel with extra hold or gel for thick hair if possible.

Wash your hair before you style it, and decide whether you want a wet or dry look when you finish. If you want a wet look, apply gel while the hair is still damp and let it air dry. If you want a dry look, apply it to damp or dry hair, but if it's still damp, use a diffuser or carefully dry your hair into the style you want. For very short hair, applying gel to dry hair is a great way to create quick spikes. Dry hair needs less gel than wet hair, so if you want a dry look, make sure to apply sparingly and rub your hands together first to help the gel to spread more evenly.

How to Be More Confident About Your Body This Summer

Although this is far from ideal, such is life and there is absolutely no need to despair. Modern technology and some other very smart people have provided enough options to quick-fix yourself into being more confident this summer, despite your dress size.

Go Smooth

Smooth, silky skin will make you look and feel loads better, and in turn boost your confidence dramatically. This does mean its time to get going with the buffing and preening, however this is a job well-worth the effort. Going hairless is your first step- shave, pluck or wax yourself gorgeous, it doesn't matter how you get there, but smoother, hairless skin will automatically boost morale. Exfoliating and moisturizing are also key tools in creating a smoother you. Regular exfoliation will not only make your skin glow, but used repeatedly can also stimulate circulation and reduce the appearance of cellulite. The moisturizer will just help create supple, glowing skin and that in itself can make you instantly more confident.

Bronze

Nothing will do more for your confidence than a decent tan. A tanned, bronzed physique can perform wonders. It will make you appear slimmer, more toned and healthier. The multitude of options available also means that you can achieve this healthy glow in a matter of a few a minutes. Self-tanners do tend to take a little longer to work, however there are some great bronzers on the market too, which take mere minutes to turn you into a bronzed goddess. For the ultimate confidence boost- use BOTH! A decent self-tan job, highlighted with some bronzer will leave you glowing.

Suit your Suit

So you are not quite happy with what stares back at you from the bathroom mirror. The sight isn't exactly doing much for your confidence or self-esteem either, but, yet again, there is a quick-fix waiting to save the day. It is as simply as wearing clothing that suits and flatters, particularly when it comes to your beach attire. Different shapes simply need to be dressed differently, and the illusions you can create using some simple principles, are nothing short of amazing.

In with the Water, out with the Salt!

The ultimate quick-fix in order to enhance confidence levels is to simply tackle unnecessary bloating. In order to give the appearance of a slimmer waistline and reduce water retention, drink lots of water and cut down on your sodium (salt) intake. This is one of the most effective strategies in improving your appearance, specifically around the stomach area. This simple daily routine should also help increase energy, improve you sleep and contribute to a better complexion.

Surgical Solutions

Although being realistic about the fallacy of human perfection is important, there also does come a time when surgical options to enhance your appearance may become a real option. If you have problem areas that simply can't be tackled with regular exercise and healthy diet, cosmetic surgery may provide an alternative way to increase confidence. Without looking to create a Barbie doll- like figure, sometimes no amount of tan, exfoliation and correct dressing can help to hide a part of your body which may be of particular concern. In this case, it is important to know that there is an option out there for you. The UK has some highly qualified and professional companies out there who are able to offer lipo at some reasonable rates, making it more accessible than ever before.

How to Change the Color of A Lace Wig

Lace wigs can be a gift from above, for many of us. Whether you want to try curls, more volume or a new hair color, they can fulfill all your hairstyle wishes without producing any damage to your natural hair. Made from 100% Indian, Malaysian or Chinese Remy hair, lace wigs come in various colors, textures and lengths. However, there may be cases when the wig you receive may have a lighter/darker color than you desire.

Some of you may think that purchasing a brand new wig is the only solution, but I have one great tip that will save you the trouble. All you need is a light or dark brown sharpie marker. Then follow the next steps:

Step 1
First thing you need to do is check how lighter/darker the remy hair is compared to your natural hair. Then try it on to make sure it fits you well.

Step 2
Use the darker/lighter sharpie marker on the areas around the perimeter. Put the lace wig on a solid, horizontal surface and use the marker, focusing on the top front area.

Step 3
Allow it to dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 4
Position it properly, following the manufacturer's instructions, with adhesive or tape.

Step 5
Check thoroughly if the entire area has the same color. If you find any missed spots, use again the sharpie marker to correct them. Sharpie markers are an excellent asset to your care kit and you can use them whenever needed.

Knowing few extra tips when it comes to lace wigs is great for frequent users. Available colors are countless, and finding the exact shade of brown, for example, may be difficult even for a professional hairdresser. This is why learning how to change the color fast and easy is essential.

By changing the color you can even have more versatility with them as they will be more manageable, more stylish and even more you. From sleek to sassy, from shy to daring, changing the color of your lace wig can surely bright up your day!

How to Wash Your Hair With Conditioner

Why would you skip shampoo and just use conditioner? It's been trending around for awhile now, and so far it hasn't gone away. Is the conditioner-only wash for you?

Shampoo - even gentle shampoo - contains chemicals that dry out your hair. Shampoo cleans the unwanted dirt and oil out of your hair, but it also strips your hair of the oils that it needs. That means that your hair gets dried out and your scalp works overtime trying to produce more oils to make up for the ones that are missing.

The idea behind conditioner-only washing is that you eliminate those chemicals that strip your hair and just add moisture. Complete elimination of shampoo doesn't work for everyone, but it does work for some people. Here are some steps and options for cutting down on the 'poo.

  • First, don't go off shampoo cold turkey. Your hair will be greasy and gross (which may happen a little bit, but not as much if you ease into it). Start by not using shampoo a couple of times a week and just washing with conditioner. You might also try not washing your hair every day when you do this.
  • When you wash with conditioner only, you can either wash your hair with just water and then follow it up with conditioner as usual, or you can scrub your hair with conditioner and follow it up with moisturizing conditioner.
  • When you wash your hair with conditioner, start with a wet head. Use plenty of conditioner. You'll want to scrub your scalp with your fingers - probably harder than you would with shampoo, since there's no lather to help you along.
  • Make sure that you rinse very thoroughly. Conditioner can build up in your hair and attract more dirt if you don't make sure to get your hair really clean.
  • If you need to shampoo once a week or so to really get a deep clean, it shouldn't mess up your goals. This is common with this kind of cleaning.
This probably isn't for everyone, but for people with dry and damaged hair (especially anyone who regularly uses heat styling) it can really help to restore your hair to something softer and healthier

Wet Shaving Vs Dry Shaving

Shaving means removal of beard or other body hair with a bladed material like razor. Shaving is the process which is done by both men and women. Men usually used shaving for removal of their beard on face and women for body hair and underarms. The different shaving products include mirror, blade kit, head wipes, tweezers, bowl, scissor and trimmer. The other products include shaving bags are used for packing all the tools used for shaving, shaving brush is used to apply soap on the face, and shaving cream is applied to prevent from razor burn, shaving machine can be manual or electric, shaving razor and shaving kit.

Types of Shaving:

Shaving can be done by different methods like safety razor or wet shaving and electric razor or dry shaving.

Wet Shaving:

Safety razor or wet shaving is traditional way of shaving. Shaving according to name keeps the skin wet. Although today there are very rare people who used the wet shaving as it takes too much time than dry shaving. But the shaving is much better than shaving in terms of skin related problems. How Fast Does Hair Grow?

The hair is one of a woman's physical assets. Isn't it that when you see a woman with long shiny hair whether it's straight or wavy, your eyes follow her? Similarly, people get attracted to men who have great looking hair.

Many of us may just be content with washing our hair every day. But that's not enough because our crowning glory needs proper care and maintenance to make it healthy and grow faster. Apart from washing it every day, we should see to it that we take the extra steps to nourish it and give it a trim on a regular basis.

Human hair comes in different colors and texture. Each strand consists of three layers - the outer layer called the cuticle, the inner layer known as the medulla and the cortex which determines the type of hair whether it's straight or curly.

Hair goes through several phases during its growth cycle. These are the anagen, catagen and telogen. The anagen is the growth period that takes from two to eight years. This particular phase differs from one individual to another. Some who have long anagen growth rates can grow their hair very long while the others only have short growth periods. Each month, hair grows at an average rate of one-half inch.

The second phase is the catagen also known as the transitional period. This is the time when the hair stops growing and the hair follicle shrinks.

The last phase is called the telogen. This is the resting period during which the hair does not yet grow. This may take from two to four months before the hair goes back to the anagen phase. During this phase, dead hair is pushed upwards as it is detached from the blood supply. You may notice then some hair falling. In fact, a person sheds approximately 50 to 100 strands of hair every month.

Other than being knowledgeable of the normal process our hair goes through each day, there are still some steps we can take to enhance the speed of our hair growth. Remember that proper nutrition plays a key role. This means eating a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals. The B Vitamins (inositol, niacin, panthenol, biotin, B6, B12) are essential and they're found in whole grains, eggs, fish, meat, milk and fresh fruits. Vitamins A, C and E are antioxidants and are important as well.

The minerals that can help improve hair growth include iron, calcium, copper, manganese and potassium. Iron is vital for improved blood circulation in the head and in preventing anemia. Calcium makes hair stronger and this can be found in dairy products, fish, nuts, beans and yeast. Manganese can be taken from beans, grains, avocado, nuts, eggs, fish and other meats.

Using certain home remedies will be helpful. These are normally made from organic ingredients and are proven to have no side effects. Some of them include the use of aloe vera, coconut oil or milk, rosemary and tea tree oil which are massaged on the scalp to improve circulation and moisture.

Boosting hair growth is very possible. All you need is to take care of your hair and nourish it as often as possible.

How to Get Rid of Ingrown Pubic Hair

Having ingrown public hair is absolutely no fun at all, especially if the situation is worsened with some painful and infected hair follicles. Most people, though, with today's fashion styles, do like to modify or "tame" their pubic hair growth somewhat - either by trimming, shaving, using a depilatory, or waxing. That being the case, almost everyone is probably going to have to battle ingrown pubic hair at some point, so here are three tips on how to get rid of them:

First of all, try to loosen up the skin and pores which will help "release" the hair. Pores open naturally as a reaction to heat, so take a warm bath or hit the steam room at the gym.

Secondly, get a really good pair of pointy tweezers. After sterilizing them in alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, grab hold of the offending ingrown pubic hair, and pull it out by the roots. I know this sounds terribly painful, but it's not really that bad at all. It does not hurt nearly as much as that ingrown pubic hair does, I promise.

The third of the three tips on how to get rid of these little nuisances is to practice better hair removal to help avoid ingrown pubic hairs to begin with. When shaving, it is best to shave in the same direction as hair growth. Going "against the grain" causes ingrown pubic hair. You should also trim the hair before shaving it. Trying to shave long hair of any sort with a razor is a recipe for disaster. Use clippers or scissors to trim the hair first. Avoid waxing. Aside from the pain, it is very possible that the hairs will break off below the skin line rather than being removed completely.

If you want to find out more I have provided more information below.

How Often Should You Wash Your Hair?

Many people want to have great hair most of the time. We use shampoo to clean it and we give it a trim or a new style whenever we feel like it. But more than the styling, proper hair cleaning and maintenance are very important.

Isn't it that personal hygiene covers the entire body of a person? That's right. It is, therefore, called upon us to clean our whole body every day from heat to foot. Sometimes, though, not every one of us will agree that hair should be washed every day. There are some people who believe that daily use of shampoo and conditioner is harmful to the hair that it could lead to dryness.

The truth is that you are not causing harm to your hair if you wash it every day. What matters are the products (shampoo and conditioner) you use, the amount you apply on your hair and the temperature of the water you use. In choosing your shampoo, make sure to pick the one that fits your hair type - oily, dry or limp.

Next step is to choose the right water temperature when washing your hair. Go for the warm temperature which means it should not be too hot. Using hot water can take away your skin's natural oils leading to flakes or dandruff.

After you have prepared your water, it's time to get your shampoo. But wait, remember to pour only a sufficient amount into your palm and then massage it gently on your hair and scalp as you work up a lather. When massaging your scalp, use the balls of your fingertips and do gentle circular motions for about 10 seconds. A massage helps in blood circulation and in getting rid of dead skin cells as well as oil. Just make sure to avoid tangling your hair.

Other than the shampoo, the conditioner is another product used for the hair. This is meant for the hair and not the scalp. Its goal is to smooth the hair cuticles and de-tangle the hair strands after shampooing. Hair experts, however, recommend using the regular conditioners rather than the leave on or two-in-one type.

Rinsing is a critical part of washing your hair. The best way to do it, according to the professional hairdressers, is to stand under running water to ensure that no residue is left on your hair. Additionally, rinse twice if possible.

Now that you've washed your hair clean, drying and combing come next. Ideally, towel drying is best. Pat your hair gently using a towel making sure that there's no water dripping and then let it dry the natural way. It's okay to use a hair dryer but you have to do it right. To avoid damaging your hair, hold the dryer about six inches away from your head first using the high speed and temperature and lowering it as your hair starts to dry. You can turn off the dryer every now and then when your hair is still damp. It's not advisable that you totally dry your hair with the device as it can result in split ends and breakage.

How to Shave a Design in Your Pubic Hair

Imagine the shock value of getting down and dirty with a guy for the first time and having a picture, lightning rod, heart, or some other image shaved into your private area. If you want to amaze your other half, whether he's a new guy or the spouse you've had for ages (read same-old-same-old), it's a fun idea to learn how to shave a design in your pubic hair. It's guaranteed to give your man a jolt and liven things up a bit, so if you want to learn how to shave a design in your pubic hair, here's what you need to do.

First decide what kind of design you would like to have. Keep it simple; a rendition of the Last Supper or a troop of motorcycles is too complicated and too large for that area. The best design is an easily-recognizable and simple one. There are different ways to go about it; you can try freehand, but there are products available to help you, including templates that will make it easier for you to see how to shave a design in your pubic hair.

Once you find a site including templates you can use, print out the image. Then, get some card stock and cut out the design to use as a template. A good idea is to leave some of the top of the paper on there and tape it to your skin above the top line of your hair. Then, holding the pubic hair design template in place at the bottom, get a little shave cream and apply it. Then, take a fresh, new razor and shave away all the hair that is not under the design template. Start on one side, and then focus on the other side. When you are done, you will have hair only where the shave design template was in place. That's all there is to it; that is how to shave a design in your pubic hair, including template advice to make it all work out well.

Wearing Real Hair Extensions

Doesn't it seem as though more people, especially celebrities are able to grow their hair overnight? The reason behind this is not through some fad shampoo or spray for your hair to make it grow quicker, the answer lies in one of the biggest hair trends we have seen for a while, hair extensions. It is thanks to the use of hair extensions that anyone is now able to have long, luscious locks as this is one trend that has reached the mainstream and as a result is now available in a wide selection of salons all across the UK. However before you go and book your appointment you might want to think about what you want them applied for and what type of extensions you want.

Let's go back to when hair extensions first hit our scene. They first appeared in the 1980's, however when they first appeared they didn't stick around long as they were merely written off as being a fad. When you look at the type of extensions that were around in the 1980's however it is easy to see why this happened. They were of poor quality, generally being made up of synthetic materials, which you couldn't style correctly and that rarely matched your natural colour or hair texture. 20 years later however and this 'fad' comes roaring back onto the style and beauty scene.

Over the past years it was hard not to read a magazine or newspaper that didn't feature pictures of celebrities with fabulous looking long locks. Some of these celebrities included Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Aniston, Katie Price, Mischa Barton and Kate Beckinsale. It seems that pretty much most celebrities have experimented with extensions at some point, but what is the extension of choice for many of these celebrities? One of the most popular are great lengths.

Great lengths extensions are made up of 100% human hair which is ethically sourced. This hair is sourced from Indian Temples; it is sourced so that the hair cuticles are all aiming the same way. This is important to the quality of the hair as it prevents the hair from becoming tangled. But the way in which the hair is sourced is only one aspect that makes this form of extension one of the most popular with celebrities as well as one of the most popular on the market; another reason is the way in which they are attached. They are attached to your natural locks using an air pressure system, which is known as FASTFusion. It is this attachment method that claims to be the fastest strand application system in the world. It allows you attach 10 pre-bonded strands of hair in an instant. This generally lasts between three and six months and prices for it can range depending on how much texture and length you want to be added.

A lot of you are now thinking that great lengths may be limited to celebrities, well this is far from the truth for the fact numerous hair salons across the UK offer you the chance to have great lengths hair extensions applied. These are available to match pretty much any hair colour and are versatile enough to be styled in any way to match your natural locks.

If you are debating having hair extensions applied then I highly recommend that you look into great lengths further as you won't be disappointed with the outcome, just make sure that you book a consultation with your stylist so that you can discuss everything you need to know about extensions before having them applied.

What Happens During a Facial?

Everyone wants to look as best as they possibly can. With stars and other celebrities doing all they can to be beautiful, everyone wants to do their part to look their absolute best. The process of beautification is one that can be long, but also quite rewarding in the end. Although, it is not just to look beautiful, the facial can also be something that is quite relaxing, and can really help in fading the problems away with this amazing system. The results of a facial are ones that can make the person look more radiant, and even a little younger with these decades old techniques.

All About Beauty

The facial is something that women (and men) have been enjoying for many years. Obviously, there are very many different methods and styles of facials that are available, but they usually all follow the same basic steps. The first would be the cleansing, as the best canvas to work with is a blank canvas. Secondly, there is a skin analysis where pads are placed over the eyes, and an esthetician observes the subject's skin thoroughly through a bright magnifying lamp. The next step is the exfoliation process, which is where a steam is directed at the face to provide much needed moisture.

Usually after that, there would be the optional choice of the removal of blackheads. For some people, this is not exactly what they want to do, as they may have sensitive skin that may be damaged during this process. Also, it is not particularly the gentlest procedure, as it can be painful for some clients that choose this step. After this optional step, there is the facial massage to get loosen the muscles and stimulate the skin of the face.

Skin Therapy

The last few steps are seen to be the most enjoyable by many people, and are the most widely known for those who are not particularly the facial 'type.' This is the step where the mask is applied, which is determined by the skin type. This can be dry, oily, mature, or a combination of all of these types. But, we're not quite home yet! After the mask session is over, there are protective creams and different toners used on the face to top off this amazing experience.

The facial is something that is very therapeutic to those who have had the opportunity to have them, and they are definitely worth having the treatment to those who have not. The facial is truly an amazing experience, and when done by the proper people, it is something that the person would not soon forget. Even if a person does not consider themselves the facial 'type', as they come with the connotation that it is only for the rich or conceited, it is still something that is worth every second. And although some can be quite pricey, one will find that they are really within the reach of nearly everyone.

Causes of Greasy Hair and How to Improve It

Greasy hair is actually a common occurrence for many people. For those who do no usually experience it , there may be some concern with regards to what caused it and how to stop it from happening again. There are a few facts that will help people understand why this hair occurrence happens and how to avoid or prevent it. Some people believe that this kind of hair can be the cause of hair loss but there are no significant results from studies on this.

Causes Of Greasy Hair

The main cause is the production of sebum by the sebaceous glands on the head. The head is covered with many glands that excrete sebum, pretty much the same way that the skin does. Many people experience grease in the head and, subsequently, the hair when they seldom wash their hair. Of course, if one does not like to have the appearance of greasy hair , then a daily bath and shower is required to prevent the occurrence of hair that appears stringy, lumpy and greasy. The solution to the problem can also be the source of the problem as well. A few people sometimes experience that when they wash their hair more than twice a day can result to a buil dup of grease on the head and hair.

For those who do bathe and shower daily but still have this problem , then you must be suffering from an overproduction of sebum on the head. There are many different reasons for the over production of sebum in the head. This problem may also occur in the face, thus promoting acne and other skin blemishes. Sometimes, outside factors contribute to greasy hair. Hair products can coat the hair and make it appear greasy or lumpy. Dust and sweat can also make the hair seem greasy.

Treatment

To prevent greasy hair, the individual must bathe at least once a day to relieve the hair and head from excess sebum. Some shampoos can strip away the natural oils in the hair and stimulate overproduction of sebum, it is best to rinse the shampoo off the hair after lathering it. Do not let it stay too long in the hair. While conditioners help to maintain smoothness and silkiness of the hair, it can also add to the grease in the hair. Observe the effects of any hair conditioner on hair. Limit the length of conditioner stay on the hair if the greasy hair effect occurs even after bathing daily. Many experts also recommend avoiding the use of oil based hair products or reducing hair products to just shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes, hair gels and mousses can contribute to greasy hair.

How to Groom Eyebrows

Your eyebrows enhance your face they give it balance. But sadly, a lot of people tend to overlook them in their daily grooming routine. Unkempt eyebrows can give your face a rather comical expression. Well groomed eyebrows will give you a polished, elegant look.

Be Careful
In grooming your eyebrows, remember to be careful. Just like the hair on your head, a bad haircut can also happen to your eyebrows, and it's hard to camouflage that. Keep in mind that your eyebrows are the frame of your face so you need to make sure to groom them properly. Below are some tips in grooming your eyebrows. You will need the following items: tweezers, eyebrow brush, and pencil.

Follow Natural Line
The best way to groom your eyebrows is to follow the natural line of your own eyebrow. For first timers, it is always best to go to a professional to have the hair plucked or waxed. This process will make maintenance much easier, since it will leave you with the proper shape to follow.

If you are doing it on your own, start by determining the natural shape of your brows. Use a long stemmed brush or a pencil, place it on the side of your nose and align it with the inner corner of the eye pointing upwards. Your eyebrow should start where the brows meet the brush. Pivot the pencil or the brush to reach the outer corner of your eye, that point is where your brows should end.

Plucking Eyebrows
Now that you have established the correct eyebrow shape, you can start plucking those stray hairs. With a good pair of tweezers, pluck the hair below the brow. You can use you index fingers to press gently and lift your skin upwards going to your hairline. Avoid plucking above the brows to not misshape them.

When tweezing, remember to pluck out one hair at a time. This can really be uncomfortable and can leave you teary eyed. In order to soothe the pain, you can try placing ice on your brows to numb them or place your tweezers in the freezer before using them. You can also try dabbing a very small amount of cleanser or moisturizer to soften the brow area. A place where there is natural lighting is the best location to pluck. This will aid you in seeing the individual hair. As you pluck, make sure to take a break and check your progress - keep in mind to balance on both eyes. You may need to brush them once in a while to make sure that you are not over plucking.

Shape Eyebrows
The outside of your iris is your guide in determining the highest point of your brows. You can pluck in an arch if you must. Just make sure that you do not overdo it or you'll end up looking like you are always surprised. You may also trim with a facial scissors, if your eyebrows are very long. Brush it flat and carefully trim to adjust the length.

In order to maintain this well-polished look, get the habit of plucking newly grown hair everyday.

How to Make the Most of Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are one of the most popular accessories for women in this day and age. Many celebrities have sported hair extensions and have transformed their look dramatically. Extensions can immediately boost a person's self-confidence and change their look. Lately, it seems as if everyone has caught hold of this ever-increasing trend.

Hair extensions can be used to:

  • Add length
  • Increase Volume
  • Change Color
  • Add Highlights
  • Add Lowlights

Human Hair

The quality of hair you choose will determine how real your hair looks and how long it lasts. Purchasing 100% real human hair is quite expensive, but worth it in the long run. Human hair, opposed to synthetic hair, looks more natural, feels softer and lasts longer. It tends to be more expensive than synthetic hair because synthetic hair is usually produced in a relatively short amount of time, while real hair has to be grown for years, thereby increasing the price.

100% Remy Hair

The best quality hair extensions that money can buy are 100% Human Remy Hair. Remy hair comes from India and is very similar to European hair in regards to texture. This type of hair is extremely manageable and soft because Indian women rarely go to salons or chemically process their hair. They consider their hair a symbol of beauty and honor and therefore, take meticulous care of it. Most Remy hair is collected at temples because Indian women view cutting their hair as an offering to their God. Remy hair looks completely natural and because it is real hair, it can be dyed and styled in any way that you would normally dye or style your own hair. Remy hair dries the same way as your own hair dries, so oftentimes there is no need to style it.

Synthetic Hair

Synthetic hair is not as manageable, nor as soft as real hair. Synthetic extensions do not last as long as 100% human hair either. Fake hair has to be handled very carefully with styling tools to prevent over-heating or burning them. Most synthetic extensions will burn or melt when exposed to heat. Also, they cannot be color treated at all; if they are, the results are irreparable. Although synthetic extensions have some downfalls, they are still a great inexpensive alternative to purchasing human hair, and for the most part look just as real as 100% human hair.

How to Use an Eyelash Curler

Using an eyelash curler can be quite scary for first time users, with fears of curling too little, too much, or pulling out your eyelashes altogether. Curling eyelashes enhances your eyes and makes them seem a bit wider. If you already have thick eyelashes and you don't need mascara, then using this little wonder tool is for you. But how do you use it? Here are a few steps to keep in mind before using the curler.

1. Wash your eyelashes clean. This keeps your curler clean, and at the same time, helps to achieve that proper curl. Do not makeup your eyes until you have curled your eyelashes, because you might end up smudging the makeup.

Tip: There are some who would suggest that you put mascara on before using the curler, so that the eyelashes will curve up easier. If you want to lengthen the life of your eyelash curler, don't do this because the mascara chemicals will thin the curler cushion faster.

2. Face a mirror. This may sound a bit elementary, but for first time users and even for some veteran users, you have to check if you've got all your upper lashes between the curler clamps. Of course you won't see if it's near the roots of your lashes, so trust your senses. And you would also need to look at the mirror to check if the curl on the left is the same with the one on the right.

3. Squeeze the gripper tightly. After situating the eyelash curler over the eyelashes of one eye, squeeze tightly without moving your hand away. If you do, you'll end up plucking your lashes instead. You only need to squeeze the curler for five to eight seconds. Do the same for the other eye. If it's not curled enough, repeat the process. And if you're curious to know, you don't need to curl your bottom eyelashes.

Tip: Put the curler in front of the blow dryer for less than a minute to heat it up before using it. Like the concept of using a hair iron, heating up your eyelash curler can make your lashes curl up faster, and stay curled longer. But be careful - make sure to check how hot it is or you might end up burning your eyelid!

At first, using an eyelash curler may seem scary, but after a few uses, it will become second nature. Learning how to work with a curler is another step in eyelash care and will greatly help you in putting on your very best face.

Eventually the cushions on your curler will wear down, and you may consider buying a new one. Remember that it is possible to buy cushion replacements. Try different beauty shops and see if it cheaper and better than buying a new curler. Good luck!

At First Blush - The Art of Applying Blush

Blush is just one of the many important aspects of your total makeup look, but it is also one of the aspects that is most often done incorrectly. Blush should never be the most dominant part of a make-up look, unless of course you are trying to look like a clown. You may choose to do a dramatic eye with a neutral lip or a neutral eye with a dramatic lip, but your blush should always look natural and kind of blend with the overall feel of your make-up look.

You first step would be to properly prepare your face by cleansing with a gentle PH-balanced cleanser and toner. Next, use any treatments or serums your face needs and follow with eye cream and moisturizer. Then apply your foundation, concealor and powder or use a mineral powder foundation. You are now ready to apply your blush.

When choosing a blush color, a good rule of thumb is to choose a color that has the same undertone as your lipstick. For instance, if you are going to be wearing a cool shade of pink lipstick, your blush should also have a cool tone. You could wear a burgundy lip with a pink blush; it doesn't have to be the same color, just the same undertone.

When it comes to the blush application, there are two ways to wear blush. You can either: smile and gently dust some color on the apples of the cheeks for a natural blush look or you can place the blush in a C-shaped curve. When doing the C-shape, be sure that you start at a place that is no closer to the nose than the center of the eye and no further down than the bottom of your nose and follow the curve of your cheek upwards and around the eye. NEVER make blush in a straight line, ever. Stripes may be slimming in a vertical pattern on your clothing, but they are never flattering on your face. The next step is to blend.

You may also want to use a neutral blush in a darker shade to create contours on the face and a lighter shade to create highlights. Remember that darker colors recede or go backwards and lighter colors enhance and bring forward. You can use these principles to shape your face the way you want it, hiding flaws and accentuating your best features. This is much healthier and less expensive than plastic surgery and if you don't like the outcome you can simply wash it away.

Pubic Hair & Body Shaving - A Trend?

It's a fashion, it's a trend. Body shaving is being practiced by both males and females. Pubic hair removal is also being done, as a natural extension within this trend. Women have been practicing a partial body shave for decades now - the under arms, the legs, the bikini line. This practice has gone even further lately by removing hair from the arms and obviously other places in the body where body hair has appeared. It can be a continuation from the pubic area going towards the navel; it can be hair growing around the breast; it can be individual or groups of hair around the face.

For women to remove hair hasn't been questioned and rarely been judged - unless the questioning refers to non-removal of hair. So we can safely say it is normal. Pubic hair removal in women, as with men, isn't easily observed for obvious reason.

In the recent past it would have been judged as very daring, and perhaps harsh connotations would have been placed. Today however, in most circles it is just a choice. Perhaps a great choice or a sexy choice - but with no additional judgment.

For men on the other hand, to shave their body hair wasn't seen as a simple extension from shaving their beard. The male image carried with it, not only the fact that body hair was normal (which it is) but it was also a reflection of manliness. This probably had more to do with the way men saw themselves than how women saw them. It is also a logical perspective. When men start shaving it is with a great sense of pride that facial hair appears - the more, the better.

Women with body or facial hair, weren't seen as desirable.

In this day and age these clichés are no longer valid. Men who remove body hair are normal and can be desirable. It is simple a question of choice and attraction. Men and women come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some have little body hair, all have pubic hair. Some have plenty of body hair. This variety, the spice of life, does have an impact on the method you can use to remove body hair.

For example, waxing hair on the back or thighs is not necessarily the best choice. Plucking pubic hair can be a long process, and quite painful. So from these basic examples it is obvious that not only are there different choices, but also different requirements.

Another point to consider is that as this trend has grown, a large market has developed and is therefore worth a lot of money; it is big business. There is an extensive list of alternatives, from beauty boutiques to specialized centers; from various ingredients, including the physical artifacts that can be used, to an ample collection of competing products to enhance the experience and control after effects - creams, lotions and so on.

For a full body hair removal exercise and yes, pubic hair removal, perhaps the most effective method is shaving. (Ladies, don't try shaving facial hair.). Although everybody thinks about shaving it is not perceived as glamorous as waxing or the more high-tech alternatives like lasers and electrolysis.

But again, specially for a full body shave and pubic hair removal requirement, shaving (with a razor or with an electric shaver) is becoming the preferred choice by many, including professionals for whom hair removal is a necessity (sportsmen and women, actors, models). Why? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that shaving is easy to do, doesn't cost much and you can do it yourself.

Make-up Kit - What Should it Contain?

A make-up kit is indispensable for every woman. It doesn't have to be that fancy black box with various shades of eyeshades and lipsticks that you never really prefer. It can just be a box of your favorite choices thrown together. So, what are the bare necessities that your make up kit should contain?

i) Foundation

The Foundation is not just the base that you work upon but it is also the base of good make-up. If you mess it up, whatever else you do will be no good. I personally prefer mineral or powder based foundations. I do not like the liquid ones as I always feel they make me look cakey. And the golden rule for the right look is blend... blend... blend!

ii) Blusher

Most people ignore the blush and so do I on normal days. However, whenever I go out, especially to party, I find it indispensable. And again here, I prefer the powder based ones.

iii) Eye-shadow

Most people in India ignore the eye-shadow or stick to only pink. Pink does look great but I think its time to break out of the stereotype. Last year, for my brother-in-law's wedding, I wore a beautiful grand pink saree. I got my make up done professionally at VLCC, Chennai.

Veena at VLCC is a real expert on eyes. It is said that she can give the perfect brow shape to any person. She started work on my eyes and since they were shut, I had no idea what she was doing to them till she completed the look. OMG! She gave me a smoky eye look with a green eyeshadow.

"But my dress is pink," I squealed.

"Green eyes & pink dress look wonderful together. Just wait and see," she said.

It was too late to do anything else, so I left it at that. At the party, each and everyone commented on how great I looked, with a special mention on my eyes.

iv) Mascara

Mascara adds a silent 'oomph' to any face and it is an absolute essential in your make up kit. In fact, according to me, mascara and lip gloss are daily necessities.

v) Lipstick, Lip-gloss and Lip-liner

A lipstick is also a great accessory that is a real must. The best part is you can wear it anywhere, everywhere and make your statement. Wear a nude shade to a funeral, brown to your office, maroon to a simple party or red to a wedding. Add a lip gloss on it to give it more permanence and shine. Define your lips with a lip liner to give an even clearer look.

The above are the most basic necessities that you require. Apart from this, you also need proper tools to apply all this. My kit also has a kajal, eyebrow pencil, Vaseline and little other stuff.

What does your kit contain?

Know All About Spas and the Most Popular Brazilian Wax

Your local day spa can be a wonderfully indulgent retreat center. They are home to many self pampering experiences, including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. They are also great places to have your bikini area shorn and beach ready.

The Brazilian Wax procedure, which obviously began in Brazil, has become quite popular with women of all ages. There are many styles and some are downright creative.

A common type of waxing is of the traditional "bikini line" variety. This is where most of the pubic hair is left intact except for the areas along the inner thighs and above a bathing suit line, thus the name "bikini wax".

Another type is the Brazilian Waxing method where all hair is removed except for a small amount in the frontal pubic area. There are designs such as a stripe, or a circle, or a small square. There is even a design which looks like a small heart.

One type, which is a bit more daring, is a Hollywood Wax. This is where all hair is removed and one's private parts sport completely hairless skin nudity. Some find this extremely comfortable, attractive and there are even claims that it makes one's sex life better. Who knows? It's all in the opinion of the beholder.

If you are considering having a Brazilian Waxing method, or any wax design method applied to your more private and sensitive parts, you'll want to select the appropriate place. The number one way to predict the quality of a spa experience is to ask around. Friend to friend, word of mouth, is always the best way to get the real scoop on the most fantastic places in your town.

Another way is to check out the reviews in your community newspapers or magazines. Most cities publish some sort of "Best Of" list that would give your some customer reviews.

Checking with the local licensing officials to see if places you are considering have any complaints against them is also a good way to find out about a spa's track record. Make sure the person you would be going to has a license and is experienced in the tricky procedure.

When you've selected the place, ask the management about their employees' amount of training, experience in that field of body work. Ask for their spa worker most seasoned in this technique. You might even want to meet your technician first to get a feel for what their technique is like.

Good luck and happy waxing!

Why is the Ceramic Flat Iron Better Than Other Hair Straighteners?

Hair straighteners first came into play in the late 1800's. They consisted basically of metal rods, heated by hot coals or fire, and then pressed against sections of hair to curl it, straighten it, and even crimp it. These rods were simple pieces of iron that could be handled easily by a person. Yet still, this styling was difficult. Not only did the person whose hair was being styled run the risk of being burned but so did the stylist themselves. As time progressed however, these tools began to evolve. In the 1960's women were trying everything they could to achieve their desired hair style. At one point even clothing irons were pressed against hair in the hopes that the heat would straighten it. Looking back on what hair straighteners once were and what they have become today, people can literally see, feel, and know the difference.

Ceramic hair straighteners are the newest product on the market today. They do away with the basic metal alloy plates and have replaced them with one hundred percent ceramic. Still electrically charged like the older models, these with ceramic plates however make use of infrared heat to do their dirty work. With the old product, it could take hours of work to achieve the style you were looking for and lets faces it, the end results were usually less than satisfying. For the amount of heat used to achieve said results there was an equal, if not more, amount of damage to the hair. The use of ceramic plates however and infrared heat eliminate this damage factor. Not only do these ceramic hair straighteners provide that picture perfect style in less time then the older models, they do so with little to no damage. This allows you to use your straightener when you want to, as often as you wish to, and for whatever you have in mind.

Today's version of yesterday's tool is efficient, stylish, and safe. The ceramic hair straightener is simply the next step in a constantly evolving line that was developed for the stylish yet everyday person. Whether it is for professional appearances or a night out on the town, this straightener makes achieving your desired look a breeze. One that you are going to keep on feeling in the years to come and one that will continue to grow in the hopes of making life easier for us.

Dermal Fillers - Inexpensive Alternatives to Surgery

How can you get rid of your lower-facial wrinkles that so easily show your age? One option is a face lift, which can remove excess skin and smooth out many fine lines. Yet this can be a very pricey and very invasive procedure. There are other options that can help restore a youthful appearance while saving you from going under the knife and breaking the bank. One of the most popular and safe alternatives today is restylane.

What Is The Treatment?

Since being approved by the FDA in 2003 for the treatment of wrinkles around the nose and mouth, restylane has also been used for facial filling and lip augmentation. It can also treat forehead lines as well as plump up the chin or cheeks.

This product is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural element of the skin that helps enlarge the underlying tissues. For that reason it is very effective in restoring the face to its previous fullness and in clinical studies it has proven to produce less redness than similar bovine-collagen products. There is also very little risk of allergic reaction because it is a naturally occurring, organic substance in the human body.

Restylane is injected under the skin and the substance flows in to plump up the skin. This can help while dealing with sunken cheeks, sunken under eyes, reducing the look of deep scars, and even greatly diminishing the appearance of wrinkles around the brow line, nose, and the mouth.

But, the results of these injections do not last forever-most patients can enjoy the benefits for approximately six to nine months before needing another treatment. That is almost twice as long as the results of botox or collagen therapies.

The Procedure:

Restylane is injected at the intended spots after applying a local anesthetic. Several injections may be necessary to hit all the targeted lines, wrinkles, and scars. But the treatment session rarely lasts longer than half an hour. There may be some tenderness and a little swelling after the procedure, but generally patients can go right back to work and other normal activities with the results being immediately visible.

The Cost:

The price can vary greatly all over the country, ranging anywhere from $250 to $750 per syringe. Treatments are usually more expensive in major urban areas and certain states. It is good to remember however, that restylane is significantly less expensive than invasive plastic surgery operations, and is very cost effective because the results last so long.

Dermal Fillers Can Help You Cope With Sweating Before Summer

Dermal fillers like Botox not only do wonders for erasing facial imperfections, but also help in treating excessive sweating problems.

Cosmetic Surgery Applications:

When this variation of the botulinum toxin is injected under the facial skin, it can temporarily paralyze the muscles under the face that cause deep wrinkles. It is particularly effective in lessening the appearance of lines around the eyes as well as around the nose. The results can last for several months, but repeated treatments are required to keep the face looking youthful and less wrinkled.

Remedy For Excess Sweating:

Others seek relief from a more embarrassing problem, severe perspiration in underarm area. The body normally sweats in order to keep itself cool, but for over a million people, the underarm sweat glands are overactive in their production. This is technically known as severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis. Botox has been an FDA-approved therapy for this problem since 1994, i.e., roughly 15 years, and has a very safe medical track record.

When normal and even prescribed anti-perspirants are ineffective, this chemical may be helpful in reducing or eliminating the problem. In fact, clinical studies have shown that 81 percent of sweating patients treated with Botox experienced at least a 50 percent reduction in underarm sweat, compared with only 41percent of those, given other kind of medication.

And 55 percent of the treated patients were able to find complete relief from the over perspiration whereas only six percent of the patients given other treatments could have full relief. It works by prohibiting chemical signals from reaching the sweat gland nerves. It will only affect the glands that receive the injections, so all body sweating will stop.

Many patients see a huge difference in the amount of their sweat after just one month. And while the results are not permanent, one treatment can last for six months. Each treatment takes only 10 to 15 minutes with roughly a dozen injections being made in the underarms to target all the glands.

There may be some pain associated with the injections, as well as some bleeding, but these are both typically minor in nature. On the plus side, this remedy is often covered by insurance because it is a medical problem and not just a cosmetic issue. This can be a great treatment option for getting rid of confidence-destroying underarm sweat.

How To Apply Nail Polish To Your Toes Perfectly

1. Add a thin layer of basecoat to your nails. Make sure that your toenails are cut and clean first. This will help ensure that your paint job lasts longer, and will also protect your nails from the harsh chemicals found in nail polish.

2. Wait until your toes and nails have dried entirely. At this point you will want add nail polish employing the three-stroke method:

The Three-Stroke Method

Some things to do before you start:

• Roll the bottle of nail polish in between your palms to get rid of air bubbles that might muck up your nails when applying the polish later on. This is a better method than the more common shaking of the bottle.

• Put only enough paint on the brush to paint one toenail. Make sure the layer of polish you put on is thin. This will help to ensure that there is less chipping and smudging for weeks to come.

• Find a way to keep your toes separate. I recommend cotton balls (although yoga toes are popular as well).

3. Place the paintbrush right in front of the cuticle, push back towards the cuticle until right before it touches the skin, and then make one clean stroke towards the front of the toe.

4. Do that stroke on one side of the toenail. Next do a stroke like that on the other side. To finish up, make a stroke like that up the middle part. Remember that the coat should be thin. Also remember that the entire toenail should be painted from only one dip into the bottle. Try to avoid getting any nail polish on your skin (obviously), but if it does, don't worry about it. It will disappear next time you shower. If you need your toenails to look good before the next time you shower, just keep a q-tip dabbed in polish remover handy, and wipe away any that falls on your skin. It will be easy to do because the polish added will be fresh.

5. Wait until the nail polish dries entirely. Give it a little extra time too, because the visible layer of nail polish dries faster than the part underneath, so even if it looks dry, touching it may cause the paint job to smudge. That is how to do the three-stroke method!

6. Apply a second coat of nail polish once that coat has dried completely, once again employing the three-stroke method.

7. Once that coat is dry, add a clear topcoat polish. This will give your toenail a wonderful shine.

8. Wait until the topcoat dries, and you are ready to show off your pretty toes!

The Top Three Nail Polishes

A girl wearing nail polish is one of the sexiest things she can do. It gives her a very cute and feminine look. That is why picking a high quality polish is so important!

These are some of the top selling nail polishes today, as well as some information about them, and my personal opinion on them.

Every polish brand listed below is a top seller in America. They have some crucial differences, but they are all of high quality. All of the brands have lots of different colors to choose from, dry quickly, and are resistant to chipping and smudging.

So without further ado, here are the top sellers:

OPI NAIL COLOUR

OPI is the number one brand in America. Ladies love it because it continues to look as good as the day you applied it for weeks on end, and it almost never chips. Plus it has a ton of fun colors, and the names of the colors are awesome! Here are some examples:

Social Climber
Casting Call
On Stage
Dear Diary...
Arm Candy
High Maintanence
Don't go there
Charge it!
Domestic Goddess
Ms. Can't be Wrong

And so many more!!

ESSIE NAIL POLISH

Another solid brand is Essie! Like OPI, it lasts a long time on your nail without any signs of wearing thin. It has much more traditional "girly" colors, mostly shades of pink and red. Its a little more subtle than the OPI collection in terms of flashiness, but still an excellent product overall.

ZOYA

This is another great brand of polish, sharing a lot of the great qualities found in OPI and Essie. However, there is one key difference: it is free of DBP.

For those of you that don't know, DBP (dibutyl phthalate) is a toxic chemical that's purpose in nail polish is to make it last longer. Other popular brands (like OPI, Essie, and Sally Hansen) contain small amounts of DBP in their nail polish. In Europe, they forced companies that were manufacturing nail polish with DBP to discontinue using it because of the potential risk associated with exposure. However, with such small quantities of DBP found in nail polish, actual risk due to exposure to DBP in nail polish has never been proven. It is still debated whether there is a true risk, but many pregnant mothers or mothers with newborns choose to use a polish that does not contain DBP.

If DBP is something that concerns you, Zoya is a great polish that doesn't contain DBP.
